The Apocalypse Wrestling Federation presents "All Star Memories
: A Tribute To Mad Dog Rex" Live THIS SUNDAY!!
(Whitby, ON)-- Class Act Dinner Theatre (104 Consumers Drive) in Whitby,
ON will be the place to be this Sunday afternoon at 2 PM as Canada's Apocalypse
Wrestling Federation once again explodes into action with a very special
afternoon of professional wrestling excitement. The card titled "AWF
ALL STAR MEMORIES: A Tribute to Mad Dog Rex" will honour Canadian
veteran NEIL "MAD DOG REX" CARR who passed away in December
of last year after suffering from cancer.
Carr gained notoriety all across Canada in the mid to late 1980's by appearing
on the popular All Star Wrestling television program broadcast throughout
Canada out of the BCTV television studios in Burnaby, British Columbia.
Carr was also one of the very first students trained by wrestling trainer
Ron Hutchison out of the world famous Sully's Gym in Toronto. Upon graduating
from the school Carr's first match ever was on a World Wrestling Federation
television taping held in his hometown of Brantford, Ontario.
Matches scheduled for this Sunday include*:
AWF Scramble Match to determine the #1 Contender to the AWF Championship!
(2 Wrestlers start the match with another wrestler entering every 3 minutes.
The last wrestler left standing becomes the #1 contender to the AWF Title!)
The Unholy RYOT (6'6", 275 lbs.) acc. by The CAESAR vs. "ALL
KNIGHTER" JOEY KNIGHT
Dastardly DANNY DYNAMIC (acc. by The Grand Wizard of Wrestling Jr.) vs.
The SQUEEGEE KID
Former AWF champion JACKAL vs. "Rock Star" JIMMY STONE
"The Cock of the Walk" WILL CALRISSIAN vs. "Amazing"
KEVIN GRACE
"Flatliner" ASYLUM vs. RIP IMPACT
Also scheduled will be some very special tributes as well as the traditional
tolling of the bell for both Mad Dog Rex and the recently departed "Macho
Man" Randy Savage.
All of the action begins promptly at 2 PM. Tickets are available for purchase
at the door. Class Act Dinner Theatre is air-conditioned, has free parking,
and is a short distance away from the Whitby GO station.
Wrestling fans of ALL AGES are encouraged to attend Class Act Dinner Theatre
THIS SUNDAY to see 2 1/2 to 3 hours of professional wrestling the way
it use to be, perhaps the way it should still be and the way you like
it!
