Adam Evans 1. What made you decide to become a professional wrestler? "I've always been a big fan and I became a huge fan in 1997. I went to Wrestlemania 13 at the Rosemont Horizon. Bret Hart vs. Steve Austin was a classic and it remains one of my favorite matches to watch today. I started going to independent shows in Manteno, IL. and watched the World Wrestling Association. I saw my future trainer, Brandon Bishop wrestle there many of times." 2. What promotions have you/do you work for? "I've worked for every promotion that I can to get my name out there and learn and meet people. I've met so many friends because of professional wrestling. My favorite promotion to work for is Bert Prentice's USA Championship Wrestling out of Nashville, Tennessee. I always learn something when I go down there and it's like you belong to a family. I love it there. 3. Of all the promotions you have worked for, which have been your favorites? Why? Any least favorites? "I basically already answered this question above. My least favorites are the ones that is just a piss federation that gets a hold of a ring and tries to put on a wrestling show. I hate those and those are the kinds of shows that give professional wrestling a bad name. You have to be careful who you work for." 4. What wrestlers do you enjoy watching? "I really like watching and learning from William Regal, Steve Corino, Ric Flair, Barry Windham, Ricky Steamboat, and Bret Hart." 5. What has been your most embarrassing moment in the business? "My most embarrassing moment in the business has got to be when I did a show in Indianapolis, IN. It was just the craps. A ring that had holes in it with metal sticking out...everything bad that you can think of, this "federation" had it." 6. What do you like to do in your spare time? 7. What is the best and worst thing about being a pro wrestler? "The best part is meeting all kinds of people and getting new friends. Everyone is just like you. You become a family because you're wrestling, traveling, eating, working out together all the time and you become a family. I've met so many friends because of wrestling. It's great. The worst thing is when you find these worthless "promoters" trying to run a professional wrestling show in a crap ring, in their backyard, etc." 8. What has been the highlight of your career thus far? "Starting training to become a professional wrestler at age 14. I am very proud of my dedication and hard work ethic to achieve my dreams and goals. At age 17 now, I am very proud of myself and consider myself to be one of the hardest workers out there. Not tooting my own horn, just being honest with my self." 9. What do you think of the current state of professional wrestling and the Indy scene in particular? "Obviously it is down and is at a low point right now. But professional wrestling always does that. It gets hot and then goes down after a while. Professional wrestling will be hot once again and I hope things will go back to the old ways. I have a feeling it will." 10. Where do you see yourself in 5 years? "Still working my hardest trying to achieve my dreams. Still sacrificing everything for just a dream. Still going balls out every time." Check out Adam's website at www.Adam Evans.TV |
