In an attempt to not only bring you interviews with some of
the best indy talent in the sport today, WrestlingClothesline.com continues
with our tradition of inteviewing the participants in the ECWA Super 8
Tournament. We stared off this year with Davey Richards. We followed that
up with the amazing Milano Collection AT!! Andre Lyonz was next. Now WrestlingClothesline.com
presents 10 Questions With... Bryan Logan!!
1. What made you decide to get involved in professional
wrestling?
Ever since i was a kid, my brothers and I have loved professional wrestling.
We grew up watching it together and of course wrestling together. I've
always loved everything about wrestling from the athleticism to the storylines
to the pure entertainment value. I always wanted to be a professional
wrestler and got my first oppurtunity when i was 17 years old.Thats when
I first started my training.
2. Prior to being invited to participate in this year's Super 8 had
you heard about it? What were your thoughts regarding the tournament?
I have been wrestling for the ECWA for over a year now, and even prior
to that, I had known about this prestigious tournament. I had heard about
all the great wrestlers who have wrestled in it in the past, and basically
the list speaks for itself. A lot of great wrestlers had made their name
just by being selected to wrestle in this tournament, and a lot of careers
took off because of it. The Super 8 is one of the most nationally known
tournaments in professional wrestling and I am honored to have my name
next to all the greats that have participated before me.
3. You are a participant in this years' ECWA Super 8 Tournament. What
was your reaction when earning that spot in such a prestigious tournament?
When I was first told that I was selected to be a part of this years Super
8, I was legit speechless. I was overwhelmed with happiness and completely
flattered. I am one half of a tag team with my brother Matt, and just
the fact that i was even considered to be a part of one of the most well
known singles wrestlring tournaments around, is almost surreal.
4. Any thoughts on how you'll prepare physically for three possible
matches in the Super 8?
The Super 8 came at one of the worst times in my career thus
far. I broke my arm a couple weeks after earning my spot in the tournament,
and on February 3rd I had surgery. I got a steel plate and screws put
in to hold my radius together. I have been dead set on wrestling in this
tournament since the injury and have healed faster than any doctor expected.
I am very focused and determined By the time of the Super 8, I will be
close to 100%. In the meantime training has been frustrating, but I am
still training hard each and every day. My left arm still isnt strong
enough to lift heavy weights like before quite yet, but Im still weight
training with the rest of my body, and having in ring training a couple
times a week. The Super 8 is one of the most physical tournaments there
is, and I'm training hard everyday in the gym and ring.
5. What do you want people to think of when they hear your name?
I want the fans to think of me as an innovative, all around
good wrestler who goes out there every time and gives it 100%. I want
them to walk away and remember my match that night, and feel as if they
got there moneys worth. More than anything else, I want to have everyone
in the locker rooms respect, from promotors, to refs, to production, and
more than anything else, the other wrestlers. I want to be known as a
hard worker who gives it my all.
6. If you could step in the ring with or against anyone (alive or dead)
who would it be? Why?
I would love to get in the ring with so many wrestlers, alive and dead.
Greats such as Shawn Michaels, Kurt Angle, Chris Benoit, the Rockers as
a team...I would also love to wrestle great workers on the idependant
level:Guys like Mike Kruel, John Walters, Samoa Joe, AJ Stlyes, and the
list goes on...
7. How has the wrestling business changed since you started? Has it
changed for the better or worse?
I got started in wrestling at a really young age, and learned
right away to keep your mouth shut, leave your ego at the door, work hard,
and basically treat everyoine with respect. For the most part I don't
believe that any of that has or should ever change. I think the wrestling
business from a marketing standpoint has changed dramatically even from
10 years ago. Wrestling isn't as mainstream as it was 10 years ago, but
as of late, seems to be on an upscale.
8. What is the best thing you've been a part of, or even not been a
part of, in the wrestling business?
I just love being a part of the wrestling business in general.
The wrestling business is like none other. I love the fact that I am living
my childhood dream and having a blast doing so. Every time I walk through
the curtain I can feel the little kid with a dream inside come out. As
far as the best part of my career goes, being selected to participate
in this years Super 8 is my greatest accomplishment yet.
9. What has been your most memorable moment so far as a wrestler?
My most memorable moment thus far, again, would have to be
hearing that I would be wrestling in this years Super 8 tournament. I
can't say it enough but this is the greatest accomplishment I have earned
in my career. I have worked very hard and this is definitley a reward
and honor.
10. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
In 5 years I hope that I can wrestle full time and make a
living off of it. That has always been my dream and goal and the reason
I started wrestling.I have come a long way in a short period of time,
and won't stop wrestling until i achieve that goal.
