Cindy Rogers

On June 5, the NECW will present an 8 woman tournament to crown a new NECW Women's Champion. In association with the NECW, WrestlingClothesline.com is proud to present to you a series of interviews with some of the women who will be participating in this prestigious tournament.

We brought you Alere Little Feather, now we bring you Cindy Rogers!

1.) So what's new since the Clothesline last talked with you a few months ago (LOL)?

A couple of weeks ago i had the opportunity to have jazz as my tag team partner in a match vs tracy brooks and april hunter. ive been working practically every weekend and i love it. i am learning so much and having a blast.

2.) What would you change right now, if you could, about your career?

Just the direction of womens wrestling, but that isnt specifically my career. ive been very lucky so far and am working at a great pace so theres nothing that i can think of that i would change right now.

3.) What is it like balancing your "real life" with your "wrestling life?

It's hard but Iwouldnt have it any other way. wrestling is my life. between doing shows and training and going to the gym it doesnt give me much free time.

4.) We asked you where you felt you would be in five years in our last interview... where do you think wrestling itself will be in five years?

Hopefully i will be in the wwe. thats my main goal. if not just healthy and still learning and having fun.

5.) With the upcoming NECW women's tourney, how are you preparing for the possibility of working three matches in one night?

Cardio-LOL .No, at training i'm used to doing a few matches during the course of the training night so i am going to train harder to make sure i'm ready.

6.) How do you feel being invited as one of only eight women in this tournament?

Very honored that they would think of me. ive been there a few times

7.) What's the funniest moment involving you (or even not involving you) that you've seen so far in your wrestling career?

I was in a match in north carolina and allison danger was my tag partner and in the middle of the match she left the ring apron to use the bathroom. it was a small arena so the bathroom was in the same main room so the whole crowd saw her go in and out the bathroom door. it was the funniest thing. i just took my opponent down in a headlock takeover and held on until allison got back.

8.) What's the best trend in wrestling today? How about the worst?

I've been noticing it starting to go back more old school and i think thats great. as far as being a women wrestler the bad thing is right now they are too into the "diva t and a aspect"

9.) What wrestler do you make a special point to see when you're not wrestling? Why?

At the moment none. my favorite is retired (bret hart). theres one indie wrestler that i have gotten tapes of that i really like. doug williams. mercedez martinez pointed him out to me at a necw show i worked last year. he was incredible.

10.) Where can people learn more about Cindy Rogers?

Well at my website or my yahoo group. http://www.maelstormm.com/cindy/, http://groups.yahoo.com/group/CindyRogersGroup/
