NYWC Results from Deer Park on 7/12
by Costa Ladeas

Once again the Deer Park Community Center is the stage for another episode of NYWC Rampage.

The show starts of with the singing of our national anthem sung by a student (I forgot her name) from Northport High School. I see future opera singer for this young lady.

Next we have the promoter, Greg Stengel announcing that because of LiveWyre vacating the NYWC championship, at their next show on August 16th there will be a tournament to crown a new NYWC champion. He also proclaims than John Curse will NOT be in this tournament. Enter the NYWC commish John Curse and he says since he’s not in this tournament, he will pick the participants along with Stengel. Stengel picks Chief Dudley, Nuke, Mr. Vendetta and Tusk to a HUGE chorus of boos. Curse picks (former champ) Dickie Rodz who Curse suggests should get a bye cause he was the former champ, Tony Burma and…………..JOHN CURSE to the total dismay or Stengel.

And now on to the matches………..

First match pits Tony Burma w/ the lovely Savanna taking on Nuke w/the “manager of champions” Tommy King. A back and forth match with Burma getting the win thanks to the “accidental interference” by King. An after match argument ensued between King & Nuke ending with Nuke beating up his now former manager.

Next up is the team of Ru Star & Tyler Payne collectively known as “No Highspots Needed” taking on Ken Scampi & Joey Braggioi. Star and Payne take the win with the rocket launcher made famous by the Midnight Express. After the match Star and Payne confront NYWC’s #1 fan Joey. Payne tries to apologize to Joey for something during the last show and Joey refuses to accept. Confrontation ends with Joey getting a staple gun to the head.

3 way action is next with Tim Arson vs. Guillotine LeGrande vs. “Disturbed“ Damian Dragon w/ the lovely Foxxy Dreams. LeGrande gets on the mic first saying how he’s undefeated in NYWC and all that type of gibberish. Dragon comes in with a vocal chant of “welcome back” as this is his first match in the NY area in a while. Match starts with a double team of Dragon by Arson and LeGrande. Dragon valiantly fights the both of them but with little success. Arguing ensues between Arson and LeGrande as to who will get the pinfall. In the middle of the arguing Dragon is able to give a blood bath on LeGrande enabling Arson to roll up LeGrande for the pin. At the end of the match, another “welcome back” chant goes up for Dragon.

For the NYWC Tag Titles Wayne and former ECW Heavyweight champ Mikey Whipreck take on Spyder and a mystery partner. Spyder comes out with a translator and speaking in what I call “Spanish gibberish” he announces that his tag partner is none other than……….NUKE. Interesting match with Whipreck and Wayne get the duke with Whipreck pinning Spyder with the Whippersnapper.

Next up is another installment of “The Prince’s Palace” with Prince Charles equipped with red carpet, a table and 2 chairs. His guest is former NYWC champ Dickie Rodz. Charles goes on saying that how does it feel to lose the NYWC title to LiveWyre. Rodz says that on that day LiveWyre was the better man. Charles talks about the upcoming tournament for the vacated title and says that Rodz doesn’t deserve to be in this tournament. Rodz says that he held the title for 9 months and DOES deserve to be in this tournament. Ru Star and Tyler Payne come out and offers Rodz to join “No Highspots Needed” Rodz refused and gets a beat down for his trouble. Curse makes the save and challenges Star and Payne to a tag match later that night.

In what was the match of the night, Light Heavyweight Champ Dan Barry took on Jay Lethal. Great back and forth action ending with Barry pinning Lethal following a fall away power slam off the top rope (Spot of the night as well).

Next up Chief Dudley comes in the ring and complains that he has no opponent tonight and DEMANDS a match with anybody in the back. A wrestler (than I have no idea who it was) obliges and just squashes Dudley.

Our next match pits Armand Demuerto and Lamar Braxton Porter. Crusher Doogan interrupts this match to let us know that Mr. Vendetta has taken the night off and doesn’t want to see two nobodies wrestle. Out comes Tony Burma along with the masked J-Silva and proceed to give Doogan a beat down.

The NYWC Interstate champ Southern Vinny Stylin took on Matt Hype in what was called a Trailer Park Rules Match. Before the match Stylin tried to explain the rules to the match but got the rulebook smacked upside his head from Hype. Match ended with Hype pinning Stylin but the rulebook states that pinfalls don’t count in a Trailer Park Rules Match so the match was restarted. Stylin was then DQed for using a chair on Hype but the rulebook states that there is no DQ in a Trailer Park Rules Match. Match is restarted again and Hype makes Stylin submit but the rules states there are no submissions in a Trailer Park Rules Match. The only way to win is to throw your opponent over the top rope onto the floor. Match is AGAIN restarted. Hype eventually throws Stylin over the top rope but the ref was down and didn’t see it. Brawl continues on the floor, Stylin rams Hype into the ringpost, sneaks back into the ring just as the ref recovers, sees Hype on the floor and raises Stylin’s hand in victory.

In the final match of the night John Curse and Dickie Rodz take on “No Highspots Needed”. Star and Payne are reluctant to enter the ring and a brawl ensues on the outside. Match finally starts and Star and Payne come out on top with the “Hart Attack” clothesline on Rodz.
