Not Rated Pro Wrestling's "Slamming At The Strip Club"
is the second DVD release from NRPW. Unfortunately Ron Jeremy is doing the announcing. Ron, who I have never been a big fan of, helps me learn to dislike him even more as he completely ruins this DVD. Ron knows NOTHING about wrestling and doesn't seem to even want to be doing the commentary. The DVD starts with promoter Craig Valentine convincing Missy Vega to "pay her dues". Craig convinces Vega (who's acting is horrifying... then again... she probably wasn't hired for her acting ability). The wrestling show is shot in what seems to be a nearly empty strip club. You can barely find 10-15 people in attendance. (They are probably all busy elsewhere in the club). The show opens with Craig Valentine cutting a promo on his rival Evan
Stone. Evan is decked out in a Captain America outfit complete with condom
shield. Valentine then introduces Tommy Gunn and attempts to lure him
to the dark side by giving him a VIP table with some ladies. Now we cut to another Valentine promo. Can you tell this is the man in charge? Hell, it's like the old TNA days when Jarrett constantly put himself over. Dale DaBone is once again doing the interviewing. Vampire Warrior and David Young are in the locker room. Davis is looking at a contract and asks Vampire Warrior who Mary Carey is. Vampire says "She's Some Old Drunk I Know". Evidentally, the contract states that Young and Warrior will wrestle. Finally, a wrestling match!! Jeremy constantly calls the two men "fighters". He has no idea who the two men in the ring are (Warrior and Young). The match begins and David immediately drops to the mat and allows Vampire to pin him. Back to the locker room for a Pablo Marquez interview. It seems as if Pablo got Matt Bateman's girlfriend into the adult biz. Pablo states "She Can Now Support His "Dope Habit!" This leads to Pablo vs. Matt Bateman. Ron Jeremy suddenly starts talking about the UFC. WTF!? Pablo does the best he can to keep the match moving before losing to a roll up. Now Evan Stone is in the locker room where he is greeted by a rat. The
rat shows just how big of a fan she is. Evan is one of the nicest guys in the world. He is also hysterically
funny. However, he needs to stick to his day job because his match with
Craig is just awful. They brawl all over the strip club. Blown spots galore.
Tommy Gunn eventually interferes and helps Evan which leads to Evan winning
the NPO Championship!! This eventually leads to a match in which Bull gets the win, as well as Fitzwell's rats. Now, yet another promo. This time the HeartBreak Express (using the name Scum Bag Agents). Of course, their trunks still say Heart Break Express on them. This leads us to a match with them against ATM. ATM starts the match brawling with the Agents and eventually get the win. The "Rat" that earlier hooked up with Evan Stone and Bull is now in the locker room with Tommy Gunn. She introduces him to her friend, Iris. Iris then shows her appreciation for Mr. Gunn. Once he shoots (get it? Gunn.. shoots?) he rushes out to watch the wrestling show. Iris is now sitting there, covered, talking about how her and Tommy are going to be married. Another promo.. this time it's Sean Casey, Tianna, and Evan Stone. Craig Valentine tells Evan that they will have a rematch on July 20 for the title. Vampire Warrior comes out to wrestle Sean. While Vampire and Sean are brawling, Evan starts hitting on Tianna. Sean confronts Evan which allows Vampire to knock into Evan. Eventually, Vampire Warrior gets the win. The bonus section of the DVD has a very good Sumie Sakai match. Unfortunately, Ron Jeremy is still doing commentary and ruins any enjoyment from watching it. A few of the wrestling matches are decent (mainly Pablo's and Sumie's). If you are into the "adult" aspect, some of those scenes are fairly hot. While the DVD is funny at times I'm not sure what niche NRPW is trying for. Is there too much storyline and wrestling for the porn fan? Is there too much porn for the wrestling fan? Is there too much Ron Jeremy for anyone? The answer to that last question is yes.
