The contestants for the 2009 ECWA Super 8 Tournament have been announced and, as WrestlingClothesline.com does each year, we bring you "10 Questions With..." interviews with each of the participants. Our sixth participant... Dan Eckos!!
1. What made you decide to get involved in professional wrestling?
I have watched it since I was a little kid, and one day I saw in the newspaper
there was a wrestling school right near my house, so I went down and joined
and the rest was history
2. Of all the promotions you have worked for, which ones stand out
as your favorites? Why?
Each and every promotion is special in its own way.
3. You are a participant in this years' ECWA Super 8 Tournament. What
was your reaction when being invited to wrestle in such a prestigious
tournament?
I was ecstatic when I found out about it, I've been in the ECWA for over
5 years now and
I have always wanted to be in the Super 8.
4. Prior to being invited to participate, what were your thoughts regarding
the tournament?
It is one of one of the most popular and prestigious tournaments on the
east coast, it has built some of the greatest names we see on TV today.
5. Any thoughts on how you'll prepare physically for three possible
matches in the Super 8?
I have been working out 4-5 days a week in the gym training, lifting,
and dieting harder and also wrestling a lot more.
6. Who do you think will be the toughest competition in this year's
tournament?
Metal Master, I feel like he is the most experienced out of the 8 competing
in this year's tournament.
7. What do you enjoy most about being a professional wrestler? Is
there anything you dislike?
I love everything about wrestling there is nothing I would change.
8. If you could step in the ring with or against anyone (alive or
dead) who would it be? Why?
Shawn Micheals. He is one of the greatest in ring performers of all time,
dead or alive, in my opinion.
9. If you had to do it all over again, would you change anything about
your career?
Nothing at all, this is just the beginning.
10. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Making a successful living off of wrestling.
