Erik Andretti and "The Crew"

Erik Andretti

For some reason, Erik Andretti had never done a "10 Questions With..." interview with WrestlingClothesline.com. How that happened is beyond me. I've seen Erik continue to improve over the past few years and he has become one of my favorite guys on the indy scene to watch in action. With that said... I present to you, 10 Questions With... Erik Andretti!

1. What made you decide to become a professional wrestler?

I've always watched wrestling since I was 4 yrs old. I said right then and there I wanted to be a pro wrestler.

2. Where did you get your training? How did you go about finding a trainer?

I got trained at Camp IWF. It really didn't take long at all to find a trainer. Once I knew I wanted to start training for wrestling, believe it or not I was going to fly down the Shawn Michael's Wrestling Academy. One week later my mother comes to me with an article in the newspaper about I wrestling school opening up in the Town over. I went there saw some practices and that was it. I signed up.

3. What do you enjoy most about being a professional wrestler? What do you enjoy least?

I love to put on a show. IM an entertainer, I live for wrestling. You also meet some crazy new people. The thing I least enjoy would probably getting hurt. Accidents do happen.

4. Who are some of your favorite people to step into the ring with? Why?

No matter who the wrestler is. I always have fun in the ring. I really can't pick and choose. I go in the ring to do my thing and that's really it. Hopefully everyone I stepped in the ring with could agree.

5. What are your thoughts on the current state of professional wrestling?

Times change. Every couple of years wrestling goes to another type of era. Hardcore, High flying, Back to Basics, and old school.

6. If you had to do it all over again, would you change anything?

Hell no, maybe the only thing would be work even harder.

7. Other than this interview, what has been the highlight of your career thus far?

I attended and completed several dojos with WWE Tom Prichard, Ken Shamrock, Steve Corino, Simon Diamond, and Tom Brandi. But the first highlight besides this interview of course, was when I got to wrestle Brutus The Barber Beefcake.

8. What has been the best thing you have been a part of (or even not a part of) in the wrestling business?

The guys you meet. Everyone for the most part gets along. Its like a second family.

9. What do you want people to think of when they hear the name "Erik Andretti"?

Certainly not Mario Andretti's relative. He is a race car driver in case you didn't know. I hope they like, Alright I cant wait to to see him wrestle. He always has a good match, and always entertains the crowd. I hope they say that.

10. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

More healthier, Hopefully bigger and better in the wrestling business.
And know more.
