It saddens me to see that the wrestling business is no different overseas
than it is hear. Full of scum and promoters who just want to pass the
blame. Peter, I'm behind you 100%! - Brett
Yeah, okay guys; I know - It's been a while since I wrote
a column. All my readers have been complaining (all three of you, right
Bobby?!), so here's the latest views and thoughts from yours truly.
I've been heavily tied up in a new project, which will soon be announced
to the public; and the sooner the better as it's really exciting and I'm
blessed to be working alongside someone with a genuine love of professional
wrestling and is a good person, and who isn't a pretentious two-faced
barely out of their teenage years self confessed 'promoter'. One thing
for sure, 2005 is going to be the year where I prove certain people in
the UK scene wrong; and you'll find out soon enough what it's all about.
Because the second all is in place to announce, you're going to hear about
it everywhere imaginable. And unlike some promotions and people, it won't
be announced until all the business ends are fully sorted out and legitimate.
UK wrestling has too much of last minute changes, and blatantfalse advertising
- this is just one thing that we plan to change and improve.
And this is why there's been a lack of column from yours truly recently,
I've been putting a lot of time into this. Also, I've been spending a
lot of time interviewing people - which I plan to rest for a little while.
I hope to do some more reviewing of video's and dvd's to be honest, starting
with the review I've just done of the "Pro Wrestling's Ultimate Insiders
- Vince Russo & Ed Ferrara" three dvd set.
On a few personal notes : I want to send the following shouts and thank
you's to some close friends of mine in and around the professional wrestling
business who are well worth the mention -
Bob Magee : My PWBTS.com 'boss' has been way more than the word invaluable
could ever describe, in his help of my fiancee's fundraising for breast
cancer. I can not even BEGIN to thank him enough for his help, and just
want to thank him sincerely for his help that he has given us.
Eric Walker : A classy guy in a lot of pain right now, who I wish all
the best to in fighting his current health problems.
Crazii Shea : One of my closest friends, who's recently become a daddy
for the first time; with a beautiful little girl. Now he can steal my
gimmick of "dadda's and ladders"!
Corvis Fear : JAPW star Corvis, who recently suffered a nasty in ring
injury to his arm, that will keep him out of professional wrestling for
around a year and a half. This is a guy who truly deserves to make it
big in the business, and I just want to publicly wish him the best on
rehabbing.
Kris Krude : 3PW's newest and hottest star, keep your eyes open for this
guy who is clearly going places!
Jimmie Hughes : My ever patient, and ever loyal webmaster. If I didn't
have this guy on my side, in my corner for the hot tag - god only knows
where I'd be. If this guy only had an ego, he'd be dangerous - he'll be
sulking with me for putting him over like this - but www.pswrestling.net
wouldn't be a thing without him.
Steven Gauntley : The best person in the UK wrestling scene I've had the
good luck to be associated with, professional and a wonderful person too.
Visit www.1p-w.com for his new site, and visit his merchandise store at
www.1upgames.co.uk for the BEST in wrestling merchandise that you can
get, from WWE, to RoH, and more.
Also, I've been having unexplainable email issues with good old AOL. So,
if my regular email address is kicking back at you, please contact me
at peterstaniforth@gmail.com instead. Till next time, keep it real; and
keep it indy!
Peter Staniforth.
