Ha ha ha.... ain't hypocrisy great? Yes, if you didn't guess already; I'm still giggling over the recent TNA/WWE incident. You could, I guess; base an argument around the thought that TNA were looking for trouble/publicity with their cookies and balloons offered to the WWE. But let's be honest, it sure was a lighthearted improvement on how most promotions do this kind of thing (see XPW/ECW for example). And Abyss, if you want to throw some balloons this writers way; I'd gratefully accept and not threaten to sue anyone's 'f-ing a**'.

It might have been a bit tongue in cheek, but I'd say TNA's antics were in good enough taste and with a sense of humour. It wasn't like, say.... D-X and WCW. Whilst very funny, and not without it's truth; of course - that incident was probably the most famous of this kind. So, riddle me this - if Vince thought it was cool to do at one point; why is he complaining when the same thing is done to him (but in slightly nicer fashion) now? As usual, I'll assume we're meant to have forgotten the past. But then again, if VInce and the WWE want us to forget the past a bit; they should try making a better product now for people to focus more on and enjoy and then the past might not be quite as much fun to relive.

TNA might not be the greatest promotion alive (though I like them, always have; and think they're still going in the right direction). They give the cruiserweights of this world a proper go of things, and whilst their picking up of ex-WWE names can go a little wrong and annoys some - there is a case for why you'd go for a bit of name value when in their position. It's just a question of who that name is, and if they can behave....

And hey, TNA employ a lot of friends of mine. They look to the other indy promotions for talent, and aren't afraid to give dark matches to young and upcoming wrestlers. They do a lot right. Look past Jeff Jarrett (who really isn't doing much worse than anyone else who can book themselves does) and his going through more guitars than Van Halen and Bon Jovi combined, and you'll see a good roster of guys and girls who are working hard for your entertainment. From Sonjay Dutt, through to Shark Boy; from Raven to the rejuvinated Jeff Hardy - TNA are well worth your viewing time.

So don't criticise TNA, see them for what they're trying really hard to be - an alternative product to the currently depressingly stale WWE. Remember, you can't spell my surname Staniforth without the letters 'T', 'N', and 'A'.
