The mission of WrestlingClothesline.com's Independent Wrestling Hall of Fame (WCIWHF) is to maintain organized volunteerism that preserves and promotes the history of independent professional wrestling. Our purpose is to honor and pay tribute to professional wrestlers who have advanced this business in terms of athletics and entertainment.
Each year, The WrestlingClothesline.com Independent Wrestling Hall of Fame Selection Committee is given the opportunity to nominate ANYONE they feel isdeserving of being inducted into the WrestlingClothesline.com Independent Wrestling Hall of Fame. In addition, visitors to WrestlingClothesline.com are allowed to post or send in their nominations.
The only criteria is that a nominated wrestler, or promoter, have spent a majority of their wrestling careers on the indy scene and have made a positive impact in independent wrestling. Anyone who has worked on the independent wrestling circuit, for an extended period of time, is eligible.
All the nominees names are put on the ballot. At that point, the ballot containing all the nominees names, is sent to the members of the Selection Committee, who narrows the list down to those people they ferl are most deserving of being inducted into the Independent Wrestling Hall of Fame.

The Selection Process:
1. The WCIWHF Selection Committee was responsible for nominations.
2. All nominated persons were included on the official ballot.
3. The ballots were sent to the entire Selection Committe who was given
a two week period to respond with their selections . Any unreturned ballots
werel not counted, if received after the final vote tabulation occurs.
4. One wrestler from each of the following categories shall be inducted
each year:
LADY WRESTLER; PIONEER LADY; PROMOTER; TAG-TEAM; NON-PARTICIPANT, and
MANAGER. In addition, two wrestlers will be inducted annually in the PIONEER
SINGLES category (those who were forefathers on the indy scene which led
to their success in major federations) and three wrestlers in the MODERN
ERA SINGLES (those who spent the majority of their careers on the indy
scene but never got the big break they deserved) category.
5. A plurality of votes shall determine the inductees.
6. Following final tabulation of votes, the results shall be presented
on WrestlingClothesline.com
