Modern Day Singles Wrestler:

Ace Darling

Ace Darling has been working in professional wrestling for over 12 and a half years. He is a graduate of Iron Mike Sharpe's wrestling school, graduating with the likes of Nova, Donnie B., Rik Ratchet, Devon Storm, and Stevie Richards, and has worked just about every federation on the East Coast. He is the winner of the ECWA's first ever Super 8, and has had classic matches throughout the indys with Kid Flash (aka Billy Kidman), Devon Storm, Tom (Reckless Youth) Carter, Simon (Lance) Diamond, Nova, Mafia, Don Montoya, and scores of others.

He has also been prominently featured on WCW Monday Nitro as part of Team Extreme with Devon Storm, and on WWF television for years, wrestling the likes of Kevin Nash, Shawn Michaels, Tatanka, the Headshrinkers, Skinner, and was part of the original LightHeavyweight tournament on RAW.

Ace Darling's independent wrestling standouts include, as mentioned, winning the first ever ECWA Super 8 and participating in four Super 8 tournaments, setting the standard for making this the premiere tournament in the indys. He is a former ECWA Heavyweight champion, a two time ECWA Mid-Atlantic champion, and a three time ECWA tag team champion (one with Kid (Billy Kidman) Flash, one with Devon Storm, one with Striker).

Outside of his work in ECWA, Ace Darling has been the JCW Heavyweight champion, the JCW TV champion, the JCW tag team champion (with Striker), a four time PCW Americas titleholder, PCW Tag Team champion with Glen Osbourne, the NWA 2000 Tag Team champion with Devon Storm, NWA US Tag champs, again with Devon, the NWA North American champion, NWA Light Heavyweight champion, and a four time ISPW champion.

Based on his title history alone, it's obvious that Ace Darling is a man promoters rely on to promote their product and to be the standard for other wrestlers to live up to as champion carrying the top title for many feds on his shoulders. He's earned the respect of everyone in the business and has
been part of every aspect of wrestling, from setting up the ring to booking matches. His impact on the history of independent wrestling will continue
to be felt for years, and he was a unanimous choice to be one of the first people elected to the Independent Wrestling Hall of Fame.

Congratulations to Ace Darling and thank you for all you have done for independent wrestling!

Additional Comments:

"Ace def. deserves the nod after all the years of service he has given to this sport. He was one of the few who were there when the indy's really started to flourish in the metro area." - Bobby Reidell
