Georgiann Makropoulos

 

Georgiann first started out in wrestling with running many wrestlers Fan Clubs, starting as far back as the 60's. Here are just a few: Buddy "Nature Boy" Rogers, Chet Wallick, Bob Orton, Sr., Bill Dromo (Zbyszko), Bruno Sammartino and lastly Ken Patera.

She also wrote for many wrestling magazines including: Wrestling Confidential, Big Book of Wrestling, Wrestling World, Wrestling Revue and more. Her main boss was Lou Sahadi.

Georgiann Makropoulos has been editor of the Wrestling Chatterbox for 12 years. The Wrestling Chatterbox is a family-oriented wrestling newsletter packed with all the latest wrestling news, editorials, columns by Afa the Wild Samoan, interviews, nostalgia and much, much more.

Georgiann was one of the founding columnists on 1Wrestling.com and now is a featured columnist on WrestlingFigs.com. Her column and newsletter has what many consider to be the most comprehensive listing of autograph sessions, as well as wrestler (and subscriber) birthdays, anywhere.

On October 11, 1997, at the Holiday Inn Jetport in Elizabeth, NJ, Georgiann Makropoulos was honored by the Cauliflower Alley Club alongside Sika Anoia, Ted Lewin, Donn Lewin, The Fabulous Moolah, Jimmy Valiant, Jim Cornette, Diamond Lil, Dick Beyer/The Destroyer, The Dudley Boyz, and Devon Storm.

In addition to her monthly newsletter and her daily updates on the website, Mrs. Makropoulos released a Bruno Sammartino Record Book that covers his career. The book is 192 pages with 35 pages in color and the record section being 122 pages in length. The record section has date, location, opponent/partner, and result. It also lists if a championship belt changed hands.
