Hollywood!!
She was one of the most popular women in the Gorgeous Ladies
of Wrestling. Now, Hollywood is making a comeback on the wrestling scene
after an injury which sidelined her for quite some time. I am thrilled
to have the opportunity to present to you... 10 Questions With... Hollywood!
1. What made you decide to audition for the role of Hollywood
in GLOW? Were you a fan of professional wrestling prior to that?
Well I had always wanted to do something in the Entertainment area and
here was my chance!
I had always been athletic and thought why not try it. At that time I
was not a fan of Pro wrestling, I was into Pro Baseball, Basketball and
Football.
2.
What kind of training did you have once you got your spot in GLOW? Did
all the "GLOW Girls" go through the same training?
Mondo Guerrero trained me 4 nights a week and the women who did the Pilot
only in LA. The 3rd season girls were trained by other GLOW girls to my
knowledge.
3. What do you think contributed to the demise of GLOW? Do you think
there is any chance for an all women's promotions to survive today?
It was merely a money issue and I am sure some politics too. Absolutely!!
I believe that an all womens show can truly exist!
4. Why do you think the character of Hollywood was such a popular one
among the fans? It seems you were on the show every week and you were
featured in a closing skit at the end of every show.
I am not sure why but that Character was ME
all Me, I added my own
style and presence into that gal. I think I was someone people could relate
too! I had a good time playing Hollywood, and everyone loves a Bad Girl!
5. After GLOW ended did you continue with wrestling? If so, where?
Yes I did, at first I wrestled with some Video Companys here on
the west coast who were producing their own videos. Then I toured quite
a bit with some other Companies to Panama, Malaysia, Hong Kong, London
and Russia. And a few Indy shows here in the states (AIWA and WWA and
a few others I cannot remember!
6. You broke your leg (in several places) a few years ago. Could you
discuss the circumstances that surrounded that injury (who were you working
against? what promotion? etc.)
I broke my right leg in 3 places and still have 7 screws and 2 plates
in it. I thought I would never be wrestling again and I stayed away from
any Pro Matches for a while because of the injury. I have overcome that
injury and have continued working! I have been in this business for over
15 years and have learned a lot! I have my own Production Co. (Hollywould
Prods.) and have made over 200 Videos, Cat fighting as well as Pro ring
matches with me and other girls. It always feels good to hire good talent
and pay them the money they deserve, which normally does not occur, as
we all know on the Indy circuit.
7. When you are not wrestling, what do you enjoy doing?
I love to actually go to movies and dine out and travel for fun when I
can find the time. I have been going to school to learn more computer
stuff too! But my website www.webkitten.com
keeps me very busy!
8. What kind of things can visitors to your website, webkitten.com,
find?
They can find all the videos I have produced and starred in, over 7000
pics and 650 mpegs, my daily diary and tour dates are all in there plus
it is updated every other week!
9. Recently you have decided to return (not that you ever really left)
to the wrestling scene. What has made you decide to return? Did you enjoy
your return to the east coast at the GLORY con?
Getting over the fear of the broken leg was a major thing for me! I really
did miss the fans and performing! When I wrestled at the IWF Center I
felt back at home all over again! I look forward to many more Indy shows
or heaven forbid someone gets another Female promotion off the ground
on National TV again I am there! Win, lose or hey a possible DQ.
10. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Just about where I am today, I have my own business, I have a nice home,
I love my life! Maybe
I just might get hitched!
