JWe at Jersey Championship Wrestling are pleased to announce that when JCW returns to "The JCW Arena" at The Garfield Boys & Girls Club on 490 Midland Avenue in Garfield, NJ, it will be for the fifth annual JCW Jersey J-Cup! On June 27, 2004, Jersey Championship Wrestling plans to put on the highest caliber tournament of wrestling action the nation has ever seen! Past winners of the J-Cup include Judas Young, Low Ki, Reckless Youth, and Jay Lethal, and have featured great independent talent such as Homicide, AJ Styles, CM Punk, The Amazing Red, and many others.
We are expecting to put on the largest show in the history of JCW, so we have already begun selling tickets to this event, and they are already going fast! JCW is saddened to announce that Teddy Hart, Jack Evans, Harry Smith, Ted Wilson and Lit, as previously advertised will NOT be wrestling for the J-Cup.
JCW Promoter Ricky O has been quoted as saying, "There is absolutely no heat between myself and Teddy Hart and company. Teddy Hart has been very busy as of late and has been recieving overseas bookings. Due to Teddy Hart being in high demand to promoters, we've decided to showcase other wrestlers who want to be recoginized by the great wrestling fans. Teddy Hart hasn't answered JCW phone calls to inform him of our decision, and due to Teddy Hart being so busy we decided this would be the best route to go. Teddy Hart is a great guy and he will be back in the future, but due to Teddy Hart's unpredictable and wild schedule, we've decided to add other talent for our fans."
