NWA TNA - June 11th

The show opened with a recap of the AJ Styles, Raven, Jeff Jarrett feud
Raven is outside cutting a promo with Julio Dinero and Alexis Laree when DLO attacks. DLo and Julio brawl into the building and their match begins. Alexis continuously interferes. At one point, DLo goes for a whirlybird on her but Julio blocks it. Julio takes control of the match. While the ref is distraced, Alexis comes of the top rope and hits a DDT on DLo. Julio gets a 2 count. A quick comeback and a Sky High by DLo for the win.
Mike Tenay and Don West are at ringside to introduce tonight's event. Paul London, the #1 Contender to the X Division Title is in Japan so tonight Chris Sabin will hand pick his own opponent.
A video look at Vince Russo in TNA is shown (in lovely B & W)
We are then "treated" to an in ring interview with Mike Tenay and Glen Gilbertti. Tenay asks Glen why Russo hit him with the bat last week. Glen says, "I should ask you because I don't know." He goes on to talk about how Russo was the one behind Vince screwing Bret, putting the tag belts on Judy Bagwell, having a Viagra on a pole match, and putting the WCW Title on David Arquette. Russo runs in and attacks Gilbertti with the bat. (prior to him running in, chants of "Boring" were very audible.) The Harris Brothers pull Russo off as XXX help Glen from the ring.
Cut to the back where Scott Hudson interviews Chris Sabin who announces Shark Boy as his opponent.
Shark Boy and New Jack are engaged in a game of Twister when Shark Boy must leave to wrestle. New Jack tells him if he's not back in 5 minutes to finish the game, he will come to the ring to get him.
Chris Sabin defends the X Division Title against Shark Boy by pin after hitting the Future Shock. After the match, Sabin attempts to unmask Shark Boy but New Jack makes the save.
In the back, ANOTHER interview by Hudson with Ron Killings and Konnan. Highlight of the interview was Killings saying, "Ain't no thing but a chicken wing!"
The Harris Brothers lost to Killings and Konnan when BG James ran in and nailed one of the Harris' with a chair, allowing Killings to score the pinfall.
Tenay then interviews Jeff Jarrett who speaks about the potential AJ Styles has and the ability of Raven. This was followed by Scott Hudson interviewing Erik Watts, Goldilocks, and Trinity. Tonight, these 3 will battle Kid Kash in a handicap match. Suddenly a HUGE guy with a Hannibal Lector type mask attacks Watts. Kash shows up, looking for his cup. He introduces himself to Hudson,
Trinity and Goldilocks lost to Kid Kash. Trinity ran in and Kash put the boots to her causing her top to untie in the back. Kash then had to start trash talking Goldilocks while Trinity spent a good minute trying to tie her top on. Trinity hit a few moves but Kash dominated the match. He applied the Iron Claw to Trinity but Goldilocks hopped on his back. The Claw was then applied to Goldi but she hit a low blow which allowed Trinity to hit a spin kick. Kash went for an off the top powerbomb but Trinity reversed it into a hurracanrana. The big masked guy ran in, took out Trinity and Kash scored the pin.
In the back, AGAIN, Hudson is now interviewing Devon Storm about his Hard 10 match with Sandman.
We then cut to Bill Behrens telling DLo he will be escorted from the building so he doesn't interfere in tonight's main event. DLo walks away, ignoring Bill.
Sandman def Devon Storm in the Hard 10 match when he put Devon through a table at ringside after coming off a ladder in the ring, to score the 10 pts. Stupid concept for a match.
The Interrogators interview Justin Credible and Jerry Lynn. They ask their thoughts on stuff like Aldo Montoya, Mr JL, Paul Heyman, and ECW. Lynn then says the only reason Credible was champ in ECW was because he was Heyman's butt buddy. The two begin to brawl. Yeah, no one saw that coming LOL.
Scott Hudson interviews Tracy. Tracy states that Desire isn't here tonight and the movement begins tonight.
America's Most Wanted defeated Tracy and David Young to become the #1 Contenders to the Tag Team Title. AMW missed a lot of spots in this one. Elix Skipper interfered hitting a clothesline on James Storm. Tracy hit the Pie in the Sky but missed the Bronco Buster on Storm. David Young tagged in and hit a superplex on Storm. AMW went for the death sentence but Harris chose to cross body block XXX at ringside. Tracy ran in and low blowed Storm. A quick spear on Young and AMW win. After the match, Tracy and Young are arguing when Nurse Veronica hits Young in the back with a chair. Veronica and Tracy leave.

Next week, the one year anniversary show... Sabin v London, Sandman v Sanders, and STING!
The Main Event, Jeff Jarrett v AJ Styles v Raven. Brilliant booking as AJ nails JJ with a chair. It was then announced by Tenay, "I have just gotten word from NWA officials in the back that this match MUST have a winner so it is now a NO DQ match!". Uh, shouldn't this have been announced BEFORE THE CHAIR WAS USED??!! Raven hits an evenflow ddt on Jarrett. As the ref counts, Shane Douglas runs to the ring and pulls Raven out. The two men brawl through the crowd and to the outside of the arena. Back in the ring, AJ hits Jarrett with the belt then a HUGE frog splash for a 2 count. Jarrett fights back but in picking up AJ, he knocks down the ref. Russo runs in with a guitar and smashes the guitar over Jarrett's head. Styles clash on Jarrett. The ref is revived and 1, 2, 3!!!! HOLY S#!T, Jarrett did the job!!! I'm in shock. Jarrett gets on the mic and challenges AJ to a rematch next week. AJ tells him he has 30 days so he'll check his schedule and get back to him. (Smart move as if he got back in the ring with JJ next week you know who'd win.) Jarrett challenges AJ to a tag match next week. AJ and any partner he wants v Jarrett and Sting!!!
Some solid matches. A few wastes. TOO damn many interviews in the back. Come on and focus on the wrestling and stop trying to recreate Raw and Smackdown with the 20 minute endless promos in or out of the ring.
