Alere Little Feather Interview.

By P. Staniforth 2005.

A chance for you, the reader, to learn more about one of the most talented ladies on the indy wrestling scene - Alere Little Feather.

PETER) : Thanks for making the time for this interview. Can I ask a little about your childhood?

ALERE) : I was a very active child. I played all sorts of sports competitively and recreationally. I also did ballet and tap. I don't remember not being
active. I was also a tomboy. When we'd go to the Reservation for weeks at
a time to visit my grandfather, I would spend all day playing football,
baseball, and other sports with my brother and cousins.

PETER) : When did you first view wrestling?

ALERE) : I started watching wrestling when I was really young. My brother (who is a year and a half younger) always watched it, and I got into it. I would watch WWF and GLOW on my own if no-one wanted to watch it with me. I loved Ricky Steamboat, he was my favourite, but I have to admit; I was definitely a Hulkamaniac.

PETER) : Did you know you wanted to be a wrestler, or did it just kind of happen by surprise?

ALERE) : When I was young, yes, I wanted to be a wrestler and beat up all the bad guys. But once I got older, I realized that the dream was possible.

PETER) : How did you get your first break in the business?

ALERE) : I contacted Steve Corino and he told me about the Cruel School of
Professional Rasslin' which was run by Rapid Fire Maldonado. I started
training immediately. And eleven months later, I made my professional debut.

PETER) : Who trained you to wrestle initially?

ALERE) : I was originally trained by Rapid Fire Maldonado. After I made my pro debut, Rapid Fire as well as various wrestlers helped me and continue to help me learn.

PETER) : What were your first matches like?

ALERE) : My first student show match was against Simply Luscious and she took care of me big time. My first professional match was also against Simply Luscious and I was more nervous than you can believe.

PETER) :How would you describe yourself as a wrestler?

ALERE) : I am a good girl with a love for the old school style. Due to my size, though, I usually have to stratgeically adapt my style to my opponents so I
can come out victorious. It's hard having to learn so many different styles, but it definitely has been a major advantage for me.

PETER) : To me, that shows the sign of a lot of talent; being able to adapt in such a manner. What has been your favourite match or show that you were involved in?

ALERE) : I can't just choose one...I have so many. I would say that so far the most memorable match would be the WXW 2004 Elite 8 finals where I beat Mercedes Martinez to become the WXW Elite 8 tournament Champion. The 2 previous winners were Tracy Brooks and April Hunter.

PETER) : Illustrious company, then! Who are your friends in the business?

ALERE) : My friends know who they are. No need for shoutouts. They are special to me and I let them know it all the time.

PETER) : What would you consider your lowest point in wrestling so far?

ALERE) : When Rapid Fire took an indefinite hiatus from this sport.

PETER) : What do you like to do in your spare time?

ALERE) : When I am not working, working out, training, classes, or studying......I LOVE to read. I am a big nerd *LOL* I also love camping, medieval re-enactment, film, tv (especially Buffy, Angel, & Smallville) and sewing.

PETER) : What five words do you feel describe you best?

ALERE) : Quirky, Activist, Determined, Caring, & Eager-to-learn

PETER) : What are your plans for the future?

ALERE) : I thought I'd marry Enrique Iglesias and have a family *LOL* Oh, you meant seriously?! :-D

PETER) : What are your thoughts on WWE and TNA, and the indy's?

ALERE) : I don't watch much of WWE nor TNA these days. I love the indies. There is some great talent out there.

PETER) : That's for sure! Who do you like to watch or learn from?

ALERE) : I can pretty much learn from anyone. You can learn what not to do just as easily as what to do. But I love to watch and learn (what to do) Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat, Homicide, Jay Lethal, Chris Jericho, Eddie Guerrero, Ivory, & Molly Holly.

PETER) : And to finish up, thanks for your time; and is there anything you'd like to promote?

ALERE) : Please check out my official website at http://www.AlereLF.com And please keep supporting Indie Wrestling!
