PETER) : Well, welcome to my office; and thanks for making the time for this. Tell us a little about your childhood.
KEENAN) : I had a very normal childhood. I grew up in Philadelphia, PA and did the normal things a kid does. I played little league baseball, went to school, watched wrestling, etc.
PETER) : When did you first view wrestling?
KEENAN) : I first saw wrestling at a friends house, and from there on I was hooked. I knew of nothing else but wrestling. And I also knew in the back of my head that this was what I was going to do.
PETER) : So you were that sure and determined?
KEENAN) : I always knew it. Growing up, I had always told my family I was going to be a wrestler, and they just blew it off as if it was a little kid thing; like when a child tells their parents there going to be a baseball player or something. But here I am, and years later Im a professional wrestler.
PETER) : How did you get your first break in the business?
KEENAN) : My first break in the business was through searching for wrestling schools. I came upon the Wild Samoan Training Center in Allentown, PA. I then went for a tryout, in which I guess I did okay in, because I enrolled in the school shortly after.
PETER) : Where did this lead from here?
KEENAN) : I began training at the WSTC in October 2001, with Afa as the trainer there. I was there until June of 2002. After that I met an indy wrestler in my area named Drew Blood. I started going around to shows with him and would work out before shows and train with him where ever he went. So Drew was a tremendous help and I owe him a lot.
PETER) : What were your first matches like?
KEENAN) : My first matches were a train wreck as I can remember. But as time goes on Ive allowed myself to get better.
PETER) : To those who dont know you, how would you describe yourself as a wrestler?
KEENAN) : As a wrestler I am a very cocky strong heel who beats to the tune of New Kids on the Block. Literally. I like to mess with the crowd a lot. As far as style goes Im more of a mat wrestler who isn't afraid to throw some slick moves in there.
PETER) : What would you consider your favourite match or show that you were involved in?
KEENAN) : Wrestling in Germany was real cool. I did a tag match last April with Rob Eckos and Nick Berk which was good. And just this past weekend on 3/19/04 in Delaware I had a real solid match with Slacker Martin. Watch out for him in the future, because that guy really knows how to wrestle.
PETER) : Who would you consider your better friends in the business?
KEENAN) : I have a few really good friends in the business that include Kevin Matthews, Krissy Vaine, Danny DeManto, CJ ODoyle and Drew Blood.
PETER) : What would you consider your lowest point in wrestling so far?
KEENAN) : When I almost gave up wrestling, because I simply didn't believe in myself. But after talking with a few people I realized that I can achieve my goals.
PETER) : What do you like to do in your spare time?
KEENAN) : Just relax. Check out a movie, hit the gym; and watch some wrestling.
PETER) : What five words you feel describe you best?
KEENAN) : Outgoing, Energetic, Determined, Loyal, Fun.
PETER) : What are your main plans for the future?
KEENAN) : My plan is to push forward to meet the goals that I set out to make. Short term goals would be trying to wrestle outside the USA in Puerto Rico, England and Japan; while the ultimate goal is to earn a WWE contract.
PETER) : What are your thoughts on WWE and TNA, and the indy's?
KEENAN) : WWE has its ups and its downs. I catch Raw more then I do SmackDown, and I enjoy watching Raw. TNA I haven't seen in the longest time but when I do catch it I like it. As far as the indys go, it really is hit or miss. Ive wrestled on some amazing shows and Ive also wrestled on some real bottom of the barrel horrible shows. It really depends on where you go.
PETER) : Who do you like to watch or learn from?
KEENAN) : I watch Alex Shelley, CM Punk, Christopher Daniels, and Chris Benoit.
PETER) : And to finish up, is there anything you'd like to promote, or anyone you'd like to thank?
KEENAN) : Id like to thank anyone whose ever had a hand in helping me. Without them I wouldn't be anything.
