Rob "The Rule" Buster

1. What made you want to become involved in pro wrestling?

I loved pro wrestling growing up as a kid, everything about it, i used to watch it every week with my dad, i was hooked from day one and knew thats what i wanted to do, but I thought it was just a dream. I had a passion for it, i loved performing and I loved the sport as well, so it was the perfect thing for me to do.

2. Did you have any formal training? If so, by whom? When and where did you have your first match?

I was trained by SAGA Underground Wrestling owner Lonnie Valdez and IWF Promotions Lucha Libre trainer Jesus Hernandez. My first match was a total
suprise!! It was my birthday and I was to be SAGAs photographer, they asked me to come to the locker room for a meeting. They went on to say they were short a ref and needed someone to cover a match to give the other ref a break.......so for a birthday present instead of getting chops, I was finally able to live my life dream...............to be a pro wrestling referee!!

3. What promotions have you worked for?

I have worked for SAGA Underground Wrestling (Colorado), IWF Promotions (Colorado), Asylum Championship Wrestling (Colorado/Texas), Lucha Libre
Colorado(Colorado), JCW JUGGALO CHAMPIONSH!T WRESTLING, and AWA/RMCW (Colorado).

4. What has been the highlight of your Referee career thus far?

Besides making some of the best friends of my life, I would have to say making my pro debut for SAGA Underground Wrestling & JCW.

5. What is the one thing you wish people knew about referees?

It is not as easy as you think & WHERE NOT ALL BLIND (LOL)!

6. Who have been some of your favorite people to work with in the business?

Lonnie Valdez, Rob Ryzin, FX, Johnny Crash, Brandon Bishop, Joey Terrifying, Jesus Hernandez, THE LIST JUST GOES ON AND ON!! I think it would be easier to say who I don't like! LOL

7. What is the best and worst thing about being in the wrestling industry?

The best thing for me is the fact that I am living my dream of being in the ring, and the worst thing about wrestling by far is the politics!!

8. What do you think of the current state of professional wrestling?

Most people would probably say that it sucks. I don't think so though! Compared toa few years ago, it's definitely on the downside. But compared to 15-20 years ago it's doing great. WWE is on prime time 4 hours during the week, and TNA is on 2 hours a week. Plus you have some GREAT indy feds as an alternative. It's a cycle that everything seems to go through. I'm sure wrestling will have a big bang in a couple of years.

9. What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

I am a head custodian for a elementary school here in the Denver area, I love being with family, friends, pets, fishing, camping, training. JUST HAVING A FUN TIME ALL THE TIME!!!

10. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

In 5 years, I will have 6 Years in the business, which totally rocks. I hope to be active, healthy, & WORKING THE RING LIKE A MAD MAN!!
