New World Wrestling
Saturday 3/31/07
Sandwich High School
East Sandwich, Massachusetts
Benefit show for the Sandwich Blue Knights wrestling team
Ring Announcer: J.C. Marx
Referees: Tony Styles, Dave Thomas, and M.T.E.
"Security Guards:" Members of the high school wrestling team
The show opens with Mr. Johnny Fabulous and Jimmy Jact Cash insulting
the
Sandwich crowd...complaining about how Cash was screwed out of the Heavyweight
championship at the last NWW in Marlboro. New champ Don Vega comes out
and
says he's ready to give Cash a Puerto Rican Ass Whoopin'. Big Rick Fuller,
Big
Money, Dan Bidondi run out and beat up Vega. Cash and Fabulous join in.
Shortly after, The Texas Outlaw and Dave Wilcox run out to make the save.
Vega
got the snot beat out of him, but he got up almost immediately after being
saved. The attack didn't seem to phase him one bit.
1. Pierre Vachon won the Super Clash (Royal Rumble-style) Battle Royal.
Participants include (besides Vachon): Moondog Maximus, Extreme Strongman
Gino
Martino, Ka Hoku, Paulie Gilmore, Dave Wilcox, Freight Train, The Outpatient,
Too Fit Eric Atlas, Tim Pittman (why him? He weighs a buck 15 soakin
wet...Pittman was thrown out 30 seconds after he went in), Cousin Larry
Huntley, Cousin Sonny Roselli, Big Money, Bull Moose Calhoun, Bionic Dan
Bidondi, and Big Rick Fuller. The end featured Calhoun eliminating Fuller.
Calhoun thinks he's the winner, but Vachon had sneaked out of the ring.
Vachon
attacks Calhoun from behind then eliminates him. Interim Commissioner
Steve
Burgundy then presents Vachon with a $2500 check and a trophy. With the
win,
Vachon earned a match later on with King Kong Bundy.
2. Damien Vachon beat Mark the Canadian in a Submission match. Both guys
got
booed, even though Mark was supposed to be the "good guy." All
the kids
started "USA! USA!" chants.
3. Cousin Larry Huntley, Cousin Sonny Roselli, & Bull Moose Calhoun
beat
Moondog Maximus, Ka Hoku, and Too Fit Eric Atlas (with Gabriel Grange).
4. The Outpatient & The Crazy Chainsaw Bastard beat Bionic Dan Bidondi
& Big
Money (substituting for an injured Mr. T.A...with Mr. Johnny Fabulous)
in a
Slaughterhouse match to become the new Tag Team Champions. Mr. T.A. is
recovering from a bicep injury and was unable to compete. The Outpatient
is
introduced and immediately attacked by Fabulous' henchmen. Then Chainsaw
runs
out to make the save...match starts. Weapons of choice include chairs,
metal
road signs, a chainsaw, and a baseball bat wrapped up with a chain. Bidondi
took some nasty shots to his head and back with the metal road signs.
After
Big Money was pinned, Bidondi and Fabulous beat the crap out of him and
left
him laying in the ring.
5. King Kong Bundy pinned Pierre Vachon. Of course, Bundy demanded his
traditional Five Count. Bundy got a good reaction from the Sandwich crowd
(better than I expected...considering the crowd was mostly kids who wouldn't
know who Bundy is). Some people in the stands had a huge poster board
with a
drawing of Bundy on it...Bundy later autographed it.
Intermission for Polaroids and autographs with Bundy, and other NWW wrestlers.
Also time for food and beverage. Food items included BBQ and spicy chicken
wings, pizza, homemade cookies, donuts, other munchies, soda, etc. I was
impressed with the concession stands! I can't remember the name of the
local
businesses who provided the food.
6. Tim Pittman pinned Mia Love in an intergender match. I guess Pittman
got
his revenge, after being beaten by Love in a previous match.
7. U.S. Champ The Texas Outlaw beat Big Rick Fuller (with Mr. Johnny
Fabulous)
by DQ to retain the title. Fuller was disqualified when Fabulous attacked
Outlaw from behind with a cow bell. The post match beat down continued
before
Freight Train made the save.
8. Osirus beat Widowmaker Eric Shred in a grudge match. Shred originally
won
the match by pin with the Ol' Pull On the Trunks. Interim Commissioner
Steve
Burgundy ran out and demanded the match be re-started...and Osirus wound
up
with a pin of his own. By the time this match came around, the crowd seemed
to
lose interest in the show (however, no fault of Shred or Osirus...the
match
was not bad at all...I guess people were just getting tired by this
point...who knows. All I noticed was people were getting quieter as the
match
went on).
9. Heavyweight Champ Punisher Don Vega beat Jimmy Jact Cash (with Mr.
Johnny
Fabulous) by submission to retain the title. Pre-match brawl started by
Cash,
who attacked Vega from behind when Vega was coming to the ring. The
free-for-all wound up going through the crowd and into the bleachers.
That
woke the crowd up! When the match finally got back into the ring, the
crowd
seemed to die back down again. Vega retains the title with some kind of
crossface submission hold (I'm not sure what the hold was).
The next NWW event is scheduled for Saturday 4/28 at the Moose Lodge
in
Attleboro, MA. 7:00 p.m. bell time.
