NAWF Results
I made it to the Masonic Temple in West Haven, CT at 2:08 thinking I was going to miss the opening bout. Nope!!! 10 Minutes later the bell ring. I could not even hear the Ring Announcer, who never even got into the ring. I guess the cord wouldn't reach…Onto the first match
"ACDC" Dave Cole vs. Jay Lethal
The small crowd of 43 was really into the opening match. First time seeing
Dave Cole wrestling, he looked good in the ring. But Lethal looked better
with his great submission holds. Jay won the match with a Surfboard Drop.
Again nice JOB Lethal.
JUNIOR HEAVYWEIGHT MATCH
Gran Akuma vs. Spider ©
Spider beat Gran Akuma when Eddie Valentine distracted the Referee as
Spider threw powder into Akuma's eyes followed by Spider's Arachnophobia
(Back flip Reverse DDT). Gee Ref, how did all that baby powder get into
the ring!! Spider retains his title. Hey look, now one of the ring crew
is sweeping up the powder….Then we had to wait until the next match.
What the next match, Still could not hear the ring announcer.
Josh Daniel's vs. Matt Martel AKA Striker
Josh Daniel's beat Matt Striker via a roll up pin. They never even played
Striker's music as he left the ring.
John Brooks vs. Genesis
John Brooks beat Genesis by a Brooks' Bomb
Intermission
Spike Vedo & Iron Eagle vs. Hallowicked & Nocturne w/ Manager
Spike Vedo called out his manager Galvin Quest. Now it's fair!!! Apparently,
somewhere in the match it became a six man match, which was never announced.
At the end of the match Hallowicked pinned Spike Vedo by his Rydeen Bomb.
600 Pound Grudge Match
This Following contest is schedule for one fall, making his way down the
isle weighting in at 280 lbs Dave Wilcox…Then out comes Eddie Valentine
demanding he should be announce first. Blah! Blah! Blah! Wait a second
Valentine you only weight 245 lbs. (But that is none of my business.)
How is this a 600 pound grudge match? Well, Valentine beat Wilcox, when
Eddie Valentine went and got a chair and threw it into the ring, The Referee
grabbed the chair and brought it back where Valentine took the chair from.
While the ref. was doing that Eddie ran around the ring with another chair
and smashed it to Dave Wilcox's Head. That was Funny as Hell; I have never
seen a referee do that before.
FOUR CORNER SINGLE ELIMINATION CT. CUP TITLE
John Brooks vs. Mark Gore vs. "Lighting" Mike Quakenbush Vs…..
What! Now they announce that Reckless Youth is not going to be in MAIN
EVENT.!!!!! Now it is a three way dance>John brooks got eliminated
early by a DDT>John Gore had Mike Quakenbush in a Texas Clover Leaf,
as he was ready to tap out and the bell rings, the time limited expired.
It would have been nice if they said there was a time limit to this match.
Announce that a rematch will be allow in June. Mike said he wanted five
more minutes with Gore and he did not want to wait until June>>
Mark Gore beat Mike Quackenbush by a pump handle slam. Your winner Mark
