Ten Questions With . . .

Little Jeanne

Whether she wrestles as Sweet Destiny or Little Jeanne you're guaranteed to see some great action when she steps into the ring. Jeanne has worked for nearly every independent promotion and has a PPV and WCW television appearances under her belt. After trying to track her down on the net for over a year, I was lucky enough to have found her (well actually she found me). Now, Little Jeanne takes the time to answer 10 Questions.

1. What made you decide to get into professional wrestling?
This was never a career I intented on doing. I know some people that were involved in wrestling and they talked me into learning how to wrestle.

2. What kind of training did you have? How did you go about finding the person to train you?
I trained at Gleasons in Brooklyne NY under Johnny Rodz. I also weigh trained to stay in shape at a regular health gym.

3. When was your first professional match? For what promotion? Who was it against?
My first match was a a school show Johnny put on a couple of times a year. I wrestled Sky Showdow. I have no clue of the date of the show.

4. What promotions have you worked for?
I have worked for hundreds of promotions all over the world.

5. What has been your most memorable moment in wrestling thus far?
When I got a phone call to wrestle for WCW. That had to be the highlight of my career.

6. Of all the promotions that you have worked for, which has been your favorite (and least favorite) and why?
I could not mention one particular favorite or least favorite. If there was a good locker room with a lot of my friends that would be my favorite. When you have a cheap promoter with a lbad locker room I have no interestin working for them.

7. What is your favorite thing about being a pro wrestler? What is your least favorite thing?
One of my favorite things about being a pro wrestler would be the fans and traveling. You become a family with the people you travel with. I have become good friend with some of my fans. I like the idea that I have a voice to reach out to the young people. The younger fans look up to me and I feel I can preach to them about staying in school and away from drugs. My least favorite thing would be all the misconceptions of wrestlers. Wrestlers have many bad sterio types. Granted some wrestlers earned it but we are all not that way.

8. What do you think of the current state of pro wrestling? Vince McMahon now controls the majority of mainstream wrestling and it looks as if attendance and ratings for his shows are dropping. Where do you see wrestling headed in the next year? Vince is at least using women on a regular basis, but with the exception of the 2 or 3 actual women wrestlers he has, the rest of his women are strictly for T and A. What does the future hold for women in wrestling?

Women will always be a T & A attraction, but I will give him credit because when the women wrestle they have been pretty dressed as of late. I feel Vince is finally given women a far try this time. He seems to be using the managers in a sleazy way now. Since Vince bought everything out they is no more compition. I feel that is why wrestling is on a down slop. I feel it will be this way for a while.

9. Do you have a website or fanclub where fans or promoters could contact you, find out where you'll be wrestling, or learn more about you?
I use www.groups.yahoo.com/group/littlejeanne or www.glorywrestling.com or www.Littlejeanne.com

10. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
If I do not have a contract with a wrestling company I will have a normal job. I am completing my college education as we speak.
