Low Ki

i
1. How long have you been wrestling?
been one year and 10 months.

2. Why did you decide to become a professional wrestler?
went to visit a friend who had access to a ring for a few hours and i got in there and developed the hunger for it.

3. Who, if anybody trained you and do you remember when your first pro match was and who was the opponent?
HOMICIDE WAS MY TRAINER. MY FIRST MATCH WAS THE LIWF JUNKYARD DOG MEMORIAL SHOW ON OCTOBER 10, 1998 IN THE QUEENS ELKS LODGE. MY OPPONENTS WERE KEN SWEENEY , CHIEF TANGO AND MONSTA MACK IN A 4 WAY MATCH.

4. What promotions have you worked for?
MOST RECENTLY, ECWA IN DELAWARE, FWA AND WXW IN PENNSYLVANIA, JERSEY ALL PRO AND JCW IN NEW JERSEY, AND LIWF IN NEW YORK.

5. You are one of the most talked about wrestlers on the indy scene. Many times, your matches are considered the best on the card. Do you feel any added pressure since there is so much talk about you and many people come to cards just to see if the talk is true or all hype?
NOT REALLY. I GO OUT WITH THE SAME MINDSET EVERY SHOW. IM THERE TO BE THE BEST ON THE CARD. I WONT SETTLE FOR LESS. IM NOT AFRAID OF COMPETITION BECAUSE IM NOT IN COMPETITION WITH ANYONE. IM OUT THERE TO SHOW WHAT I CAN DO AND HOW I WORK. IF SOMEONE FORMS AN OPINION OF SOMEONE BEING BETTER THAN ME THATS FINE. MORE POWER TO THEM, IM HUMBLE AND HOPE EVERYONE CAN DO WHATS BEST FOR THEM TO GET AS FAR AS THEY CAN.

6. Recently, you worked in a tag team match at MSG (congrats by the way). Who did you work with and against? How did you get this opportunity? How did it feel to work in the most famous arena fro wrestling?
I TEAMED WITH VINCE GOODNITE AGAINST THE MEAN STREET POSSE, RODNEY AND PETE GAS. I WAS IN THE RITE PLACE AND THE RITE TIME AND MADE GOOD BUSINESS DECISIONS. THE FEELING WAS UNUSUAL BUT ONCE I KNEW WHAT WAS GOIN ON I WAS SET TO GO LIKE USUAL. IT WAS ONE OF 2 PLACES I WANTED TO WORK BEFORE THE END OF MY CAREER.

7. Other than your MSG match, what match or matches do you feel have been some of you best, thus far?
i dont consider my matches as being my best because im constantly working and learning to enhance my ability. most memorable was the june 12 1999 liwf show where i fought monsta mack. my first main event and i put so much passion into my match after the match ended i broke down in the middle of the ring and the locker room.

8. Who are some of your favorite wrestlers (past or present)?
in a fan sense , THE GREAT MUTA stands out in my mind. EVER SINCE BECOMING A WRESTLER EVERYONE TO ME HAD BECOME FAIR GAME TO LEARN FROM AND SURPASS.

9. Is there any meaning to the name Low Ki and how did you come about using that name?
I GOT THAT FROM THE SONG "NO DIGGITY" BY BLACKSTREET. THERE IS A PART THAT SAYS "VERY LOW KEY ON THE PROFILE". IM NOT A FLASHY PERSON. IM NOT A PERSON THAT JUST COMES OUT TO MAKE MY SELF KNOWN BY BEING OBNOXIOUS AND IMMATURE. IM VERY HUMBLE AND LAID BACK. IT'S ALSO A PLAY ON WORDS. "LOW CENTER OF ENERGY" IS THE MEANING WHILE IM OPPOSITE OF THAT WHILE IN THE RING.

10. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
not in the independents. my goal is to do as best as i can to get as far as i can. i dont know what lies ahead but i refuse to stay in the independents my entire career.
