Seven Deadly Questions
by Gerry Strauss

Gerry Strauss here, back with yet another "Seven Deadly Questions"... interesting note to kick things off before we get to our new interview... awhile ago, I did a column with IWS owner Matt Hendrickson, a promoter whose main claim to fame is running a big show in Atlantic City this past summer and subsequently (and allegedly) screwing a bunch of the talent out of their paydays (You can see that interview, along with all my others, by clicking the link at the bottom of this page, hint hint)... I maintain my unbiased stance on Mr. Hendrickson, as I prefer in this case to let the facts speak for themselves, but I recently received an e-mail from an attorney of sorts who is also an employee of the Florida Marlins... she informed me that her client who worked said show, has STILL not been paid, and a lawsuit is forthcoming... so the story continues... ok, back to basics, this time we go NORTH of the border, and pump some info from the hottest girl in Canada that doesn't work for a Mcmahon, and a WXW Super 8 winner to boot...her name is Tracy Brooks, and if my current streak of good interviews with great women continues, this could be fodder for a "Girls of 7 Deadly Questions" calender... ok, back to reality, check out the column, and drop me a line at gerrystrauss@aol.com...

1) You wrestle in front of both Canadian and American crowds? What differences are there? Which do you prefer?

It doesn't really matter to me where I am when I am competeting in the squared circle. I love Canadian fans and American fans just the same. American fans are definetly more emotional about wrestling where Canadian fans are a little more conservative and make
you work for their approval, which isn't a bad thing. They both bring something to the shows and I love entertaining them.

2) You were bestowed the honor last year of becoming the first ever WXW women's super 8 tournament champion, one of the first high profile all-women tournaments in the business. Why do you feel you were singled out from the field, and what did that honor mean to you?

That is my biggest accomplishment yet and likely will be one I remember for ever. To work for Afa and the Wild Samoans is an honor and priveledge. I drive 8 hours to wrestle on their shows and I would drive across the world to work for them. The competition was amazing and the women were very talented and it was great for me to get in the ring with other female workers. I keep the 5 foot trophy in my bedroom so it is the first thing I see when I wake up and last thing I see before I go to bed. It just reminds me to work hard and remember the competition is strong and I have to work even harder to stay ahead.

3) How did you get hooked up with Afa and WXW? What is your feelings about that promotion, pretending you don't actually WORK for them?

I travel with The Original Sinn and he had been going down to WXW for awhile. I ride down with him to check out a show and Afa booked me in a womens tag match. I try to go down at least once a month but the trip is very hard in the winter. As for the WXW's promotion it has to be the best promotion that I have ever worked for. You work there once and you feel part of the family. No one thinks they are better or worse then the person next to you. I feel safe and at home at WXW. As for the way it is run, you will never see another wrestling show as professional as WXW.

4) On your website is an ad for Joltin Joe's wrestling hotline, and in that ad it claims that you are a part of that hotline. How did that happen, and what is your role in that hotline? Do you see broadcasting in your future?

Joltin Joe's hotline was introduced to me by a promoter from Ontario. I call in and talk to Joltin Joe about my upcoming events, promotions that I work for, and my website. Since I started doing the show last year I have received alot more attention on my website(www.notjustanotherprettyface.cjb.net). Joe is a terrific guy with a big heart for wrestling and will always put me over!

5) As someone who has participated in many matches with male opposition, how awkward can it sometimes get? Obviously, wrestling involves a great deal of physical interaction, but is there ever inappropriate contact or blatantly unnecessary touching of any sort? Explain.

I have been very lucky to work with some great talent, both female and male. When I am in the ring it doesn't matter if you are male or female I just see competitor. I actually get more innapproriate contact from the girls then the guys(I am sure the fans don't mind)!!! Seriously I haven't encountered anything like that but accidents do happen.

6) You obviously look good, and seem to be branching out into non- wrestling avenues where you can put your beauty and personality to good use. Heck, you are even in an upcoming B movie. Are you becoming the indy version of Sable? Seriously, are you at this point looking to use wrestling as a catalyst for bigger and better things?

Zombie Beach Party (which is coming out early 2003 (www.zombiebeachparty.com)was alot of fun. Squared Circle Training (www.squaredcircletraining.com) is where I train in Toronto, On. and our head trainer Rob Fuego was the stunt coordinator and got most of his students involved in the movie, the funny thing is alot of the students replaced the actors for their parts. I did the stunt work for Mercedes the female lead and also debut as Tracy the sexy killer zombie. I loved the stunt work and doing all the action, to me it was just another wrestling show. As for acting right now if it falls into my lap and I have time for it, great but wrestling comes first.

7) Finally, from which side of the border do you prefer your men and why?

I love my men. They can be from the North Pole or South Pole just as long as they treat me right and have all the qualities that I am looking for, just
don't stand in my way of my dream of becoming the best female wrestler I can be.
