Hola senor's and senoritas... it's time once again for another edition of everyone's favorite jolt of journalistic adrenaline, "Seven Deadly Questions"... a quick shout out to this site's head honcho, Brett Schwan, whom I had actually never even met until catching up with him while I was ring announcing at the infamous "Ring Rage 4" SSCW show this past weekend... on with the show...as promised, this week I got some words from the sometimes topless, always lovely TNA girl of choice, Lollipop... check out her words of wisdom (or, at least the pictures), and drop me a line at gerrystrauss@aol.com with comments, questions, ideas, or allegations...have fun, and please, both hands ON the table... 1) Where did the whole Lollipop gimmick come from anyway? Actually the fans! After the first show I did for NWATNA, the fans started calling me the lollipop girl and it just stuck with me. Shortly after, my promoter Bert Prentice named me Lollipop and its been with me ever since! 2) In TNA's short history, many women have come and gone. (Anyone remember Francine, of the former BB the nurse, or that really tall girl from Tough Enough?) Why do so many have such short shelf lives, while others, such as yourself, have maintained their positions? Any specific situations you know of, or general reasons? I'm not really sure of why they don't stay in the business. It may be personal reasons or maybe there was no storyline for them to be in. I feel honored that I still am working for the NWATNA. If you were to have asked me when I first started, If I thought I would still be here 6 months down the road. My answer would have been probally not. I am so thankful they want me there, whether it be dancing or near the ring. I'll be happy just being in the show. 3) Do you fear that you will now be "typecast" as the girl in the business who will "show her stuff"? No not at all, I feel like it was just a part of the show. Do people think of other women that has showed their body on the big screen or TV, "Oh my god it's that girl that showed her stuff ". No its just all part of the show. Right? It is entertainment! 4) In response to several negative comments on your message board directed towards your "performance" on 3/12, you made mention of some guilt you were feeling based on the presence of children in the arena that night. Obviously, there always has been, and always will be minors present in the TNA asylum, as well as many, many more watching on TV each week, so you were aware of this moral dilemma ahead of time. What was your line of thinking in condoning this action to yourself? Well, yes I was upset at first thinking about the kids.I am sorry some parents disagree with that segment of the show but, after thinking about it all: What is wrong with the human body? It is a beautiful thing, and our society today shouldn't be ashamed of it.

5) AJ Styles once indicated in an interview that he would remain loyal to NWA TNA, even in the face of a WWE offer. Just like AJ, TNA has given you a great deal of exposure and certainly must be a career highlight so far. If Vince came calling, what would you do? I couldn't say what I would do if that moment came. NWATNA has been great to me and everyone is so nice. We all get along with each other, it's like a big family. So that would weigh heavily on my mind. I'm happy where I'm at right now! If I were to move on to somewhere else, I'm not sure if I would be the same. So I think if that moment was to come, I would really have to put some thought into it. 6) What is your opinion of romantic and sexual relationships between people in the wrestling business? How much of each goes on, and have you personally been involved in relationships of that sort? Explain. My opinion on that is you can't help how you feel about someone. So if you have feelings for someone go for it! You never know that person can be the man or woman of your dreams. Now on the question on how much of it actually goes on in the wrestling business. I have no idea! I try not to get into other people's business. So I don't really know about that but, In my case I'm single and have been for awhile now. I am so busy with wrestling, and school I really don't have time for any kind of relationship. 7) Describe your ever-growing fan following. How passionate have you seen them get. Name some off-the-wall things that fans have said or done to or for you. My fans are AWESOME! They have been very supportive of me since the beginning. I have had fans sing to me in the middle of a show. Little kids come and tell me they love me all the time.(their so cute)I have fans bring me gifts. It's really great the fans that love wrestling are so dedicated. We have the best fans out their so, to all the fans keep up the good work you're the best!!! |
